Artist Spotlight: Mai Solsona

We are pleased to onboard talented mixed-media artist Mai Solsona onto the Blind Boxes Marketplace.

Growing up in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Mai was fascinated by the creative arts and spent her early years learning the fundamentals of drawing under the tutelage of Rodrigo Aquino Verdun, her first teacher. A quick learner, she then began experimenting with other art forms such as watercolor, gouache, and oil.

Her quest to explore the globe led her to Madrid, where she pursued oil painting at the prestigious Da Vinci Villalon School for a year, followed by another year spent soaking in the cultures of Austria.

Mai believes learning is a lifelong process and she is currently studying animation to add more variance and skill to her creative process.

Her designs have been incorporated in ‘Vilag by Mai’, her line of limited edition t-shirts, which has now expanded to include other wearables like shoes and jackets.

Mai has made a seamless transition to the NFT space and is one of those rare artists who include her physical goods with the sale of her NFTs.

Mai will be dropping a collection titled ‘Seekers’ onto the Blind Boxes Marketplace.

Lin is part 01/02 of my own personal poem written called ‘Respiro’, that I’ve decided to divide into two and merge into the piece. Toni owns the 2nd part of the poem.
Poem:
“Respiro,

Un corazón para mi respiro,

Que ya comienza a hacer frío en la ciudad de los mil vecinos.

Empaño mis vidrios con sueños sin dueños y dueños sin sueños mirando a los ojos al vacío.

Pero estén tranquilos, que si no existiera eso no estaríamos vivos.

Si una montaña rusa no subiera, dónde estaría lo divertido?

Tranquilos que ese no es el único camino.
También podemos ir recto contemplando los colores que pinta el cielo cuando el sol termina su recorrido…” (continues in Toni’s artwork)

Resta cerrar los ojos e inhalar por fin un poco de aire tibio.
